With a hand in hundreds of Lemay projects, André Cardinal has been a vital source of continuity and direction since making partner in 2000, confirming his long-term commitment to the firm. Now as director, Private Markets, he oversees Lemay’s private client architecture, urban design and interior design studios, as well as the firm’s subsidiaries, ongoing expansion and operational integration. He has been pivotal in facilitating transdisciplinary synergies: one of the Lemay’s greatest strengths.
Throughout his career, André has played a key role in a number of large-scale and award-winning projects, including Laval’s state-of-the-art Place Bell, Canadian Space Agency headquarters in Saint-Hubert, QC, and Édifice Jacques-Parizeau, a 700,000-sq-ft mixed-use complex at the heart of Montreal’s International Quarter. Practicing locally and internationally, André has always shown great skill as a communicator and leader, consistently inspiring his teams to outdo themselves. His expertise is informed by his training in project management, sustainable development and law, as well as a bachelor’s degree in architecture from Université Laval in Quebec City.
