Making an impression

A passageway designed to both welcome and to spark creativity and innovation in the 20,000 people that pass through it, the University of Montreal’s main entrance is a brilliant multimedia redesign of an existing inclined tunnel and motorized pedestrian ramp, now topped by a ceremonial courtyard and elegant belvedere overlooking the city.

Embodying the forward-thinking nature of the institution’s brand and identity, this channel allows for a direct line of sight to the studies of the main pavilion, forming a symbolic conduit between the community and forums of thought, research, and dialogue inside.
